I finally got to look over the fiberglass Vexus at the expo and was quite disappointed in the finish. The boat appears well built and the layout is very useful but the paint and gel coat leaves a lot to be desired on a $70-80k boat IMO. On the hull the tape lines wasn’t straight and on the painted top cap there was MANY flaws in the paint. Not to mention a very tall boat (almost a deep V hull with a bass top cap) on top of a trailer with 18” wheels and tires that on shallow ramps would require you to back fairly deep into the water to get the boat to float. Im 6’3” and using the fender steps to climb into the boat was difficult due to the height and not having bow steps installed. I’m glad to see a new company emerge but it seems that quality needs a strong look. The pickle fork front end did provide a very wide front fishing deck though.
