Got me a w/p kit from the fine folks at Greenwell springs marine. Dat was my preventive care. Friday morning dat electrical starter failed me. But dat's fine I got a pull rope.;)

J R What year model is your Yamaha.
Seeing your Post reminded me of when the Recoil starter was locked up and unusable until I removed it -- cleaned the dried Grease and lubed before it would work again.
Purchased in 07. It's a model 25 ESH (Electric Start tiller Handle). I don't think Yamaha does year models on these. They just continue the serial #'s. HTHQuote:

The reason for asking I have the 99 model 25 hp and it has the mount for the starter but it wasn't offered for that yr motor. Mine still starts on second pull but would be nice now that I'm getting a little older.Quote:
