Looking for info
Hey folks.....
I live in Jonesboro and my retired pastor who is like my dad has recently retired and loves to fish. He mentioned he wanted to do some wade fishing for smallmouth and such within descent driving distance. He mentioned the south fork of spring river. I looked on Google earth but I could not find suitable put in take out points and thats where you guys come into play.
Any info greatly appreciated
Tom

PM D10, a biologist on here, with the Arkansas Game & Fish, that does that kind of fishing to get away from the everyday grind and clear his mind. If he doesn't
already know off hand, he has excess to what you are looking for.

The Strawberry River may be a good choice as well. Probably more access points on it too. The Eleven Point River may also be a decent choice but I have no idea about access points.

Buy one of the state maps / county by county with most public
access points from Arkansas Game and Fish Commission .

From the low water bridge on the road west of Poughkeepsie to the gravel bar west of the highway about 1-2 miles north of Poughkeepsie is a good float with lots of smallish brownies. Takes most of the day if you waste much time and requires 2 vehicles but was always loads of fun.

Not sure if he plans to just fun fish or fish to eat but check out the special regulations on these Blue Ribbon streams .
