Fish kill on Blue Mtn .
Just read on facebook where suspected turn over killed thousands of fish in the Petit Jean River above the lake on Blue Mtn . Some suspect heavy rain cause cooler water to enter the hot river water causing a turn over . AGFC has been called to investigate it .

My buddy was telling me about this Monday. He was fishing there Sunday and saw it. He mentioned the possibility of something washing into the upper part of the river but who knows. He said there were nice size fish of different species floating all over the place.

The biologist who manages the fish in Blue Mtn, said is was a low dissolved oxygen issue related to decomposing organic material in some of the lower sloughs of the Petit Jean River, combined with the shock of cold rain water coming down the river.
