Learning Curve- Crankfest and such
Gents, you have a new crankbait addict lurking around the Ville. Take pity on me and be gentle please...
In short, I moved down to the area a year or so ago and have enjoyed learning the lake. I mostly fish the east arm, and spend most of my time chasing whites with the kids in the afternoons. The walleye/sauger bite was fun while it lasted, and the spring crappie fishing was honestly unreal. Suddenly, I find myself wanting to drag crankbaits around, and it turns out that’s pretty fun too:)
I’d really like to learn from some of the gurus here. Speeds, set ups, and maybe gain a bit more understanding as to why crappie do what they do.
I’m a mediocre fisherman at best, but I’ve lucked into enough fish to learn a thing or two. I’d be happy to trade a trip or two on Lake Michigan chasing salmon next season in exchange for a crash course on crappie killing. (Licensed USCG Charter Captain).
Thanks all...
