Bayou Louie zip, Larto 19
Got to Ferriday late Friday night, so I slept in Sat morning. Went to Bayou Louie about noon. All I caught was gar! Marked what I think were crappie on the Humminbird, but no bites. Very hot, the bayou is in a hole so no wind, just hot and ski boats & jet skis.
So my dilemma was go to Larto and then drive to Shreveport, or drive to Shreveport and then fish the Red. Larto won, but it started off slow. Went across from Bud's where all the boats go. Never fished there before, but trolled around and saw small groups of fish on Bird. Not much structure where I fished. I experimented with various depths and speed, and finally started catching them. Got better till noon, and then slacked up, but I was done. Cleaned the fish at Bud's and drove to the Port. Fish fry tomorrow!!
