Anybody know why?

I have a garmin echomap plus 73sv unit, and I'm slowly learning how to use it, but can't figure out why sometimes the image will be crystal clear, and without changing anything except for moving the boat it will get so cloudy that you can't hardly tell anything about it. Sometimes it will be cloudy most all of the day, and then for whatever reason it will clear up and you can see every little detail, then all of a sudden it goes back to being cloudy. Does anybody know why it might be doing this? I have noticed that at night time it's always clearer than in the daytime. You can see in some of these screenshots that half the screen will be clear, then it starts getting cloudy and the only thing changed was the boat was moving over different waterAttachment 351315Attachment 351316Attachment 351317Attachment 351320Attachment 351321

One thing you need to do is run you a dedicate wire to battery for that unit. If you look at the voltage read out on screen it’s down below where it needs to be. A couple of them I’m surprised unit didn’t shut down. That could be one cause and could be getting some interference.

And the dedicated wire needs to be the correct gauge specified in the installation manual.

I would say some of that is your Trolling motor running, or another depth finder's running at same time like others said if you're running this unit on same battery as Trolling motor or anything else that could be what's causing it.

Or since the voltage is varying that much you may have a bad connection(s)
