I'm looking at getting my boat setup for long lining. I was wondering if the crappie maxx signature series would be okay for the 8 foot rods off the back? I'm going to go with the tightline specials for my longer rods. ( 12, 14 an 18 foot)

As you like for those rods but my set up is a bit shorter. Separation is what it’s all about, and I’ve gone to 3’ between rod lengths. I run 6’, 9’, and 12’ rods out the sides and four seven footers out the back. Very happy with it and I cover about 27’ of width. Real long rods are bothersome to transport to me but to each his own. I had 6’, 8’, 10, and 12’s and they just got together too much. Much easier now with the bigger separation. Keep us posted, you’ll be teaching us all.
I typically run 2 feet of separation on my longline set-up. I run 4' on my cranks.
Thanks guys. I guess I will go with the signature series for my shorter rods. I was looking at the 8 foot bnm pst poles but it seems they stopped making them.
I have a 18' tightline special that I pull cranks with, its a good rod, I dont have any experience with the others!
I use the Southern Crappie Rods from 6' thru 10' with cork handles for my longlinging. After those, I use my 12' and 14' SCR rods that I use for spider rigging but put spinning reels on all of them.
I use the pinnacle limit rods in 8,10,&12 ft.cheap rods with plenty of backbone to get the job done. Also 6lb hi vis line is a must for me.
My vote is BnM pro staff trollers. I run 4' separation onu the sides 16,12,8. I run Shakespeare microlight in 6' out the back.

I was going to go with the pst's but everywhere I checked was out of the 8 foot and 12 foot rods. I have already bought the 18 and 14 foot crappie maxx tightline special. I may return them and get the 16, and 12 footers. They seems to be whatever one thinks handles the best.
