My neighbor told me he heard on Channel 13 News in Memphis the other day that there were break-ins at these 2 ramps. Any of you guys heard of this or know it to be fact?
Thanks.

Haven't heard anything, last time me and Cray went fishing at Hernando Point a couple of weeks ago there was a crew repairing the honor box for the ramp fees. Someone had broke into it the night before. If idiots are willing to commit a federal offense to net a few bucks I'm sure they wouldn't have any issues breaking into vehicles. To much trouble to work and earn an honest living I guess. Needs to be a camera at every major ramp in my opinion.

Don’t know about car breaking but week before last when snubby and I went to Hernandez point rangers were working on cash box. Talked to them for a few minutes. Said they had had 3 broken into and torn up in the last couple of days. Think he said something about Sardis also. So I’d say that person wouldn’t be beyond breaking in a truck or tool box.
It's so bad now, I can't enjoy my fishing trip because I am looking at the landing all the time, wondering if my ride will be there when I get back. Sad, Sad!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I need to invent a mobile version of Ring video door bell camera for cars and trailers and rvs and jobsite trailers. A miniature 360 degree camera you mount on top. There is probably already something out there already. If not I could quit work and move to Enid and fish everyday. If they stole my stuff who cares I'd be so rich from selling cameras.
Well one quick google search and there is all kinds of vehicle surveillance cameras available. Missed that idea by a decade it appears. Guess that explains why I keep waking up and going to work instead of fishing. #always too late!
Had a gas can lifted a few weeks ago from my truck bed at Bayou Point. My buddies at the Sheriffs Department said they have been killing the lake drop boxes at Butla.
Might be time to put up a few game cameras.
Hernando (Arkabutla) seems like a decent little community but parts of the area around Sardis are pretty rough, I'm almost surprised stuff like this doesn't happen more at Sardis.
