Had a good trip yesterday morning. Fished in the river using cut herring & cut bream. The blue cats were real hungry. Water was running a little & lightly stained. Caught most of the cats in 15 to 25'. Lost count but best guess was around 50 cats. Biggest blue was around 24 lbs.

Good trip for sure Mr. Charles. Glad you got out there and caught a bunch. May have to try that on Wylie soon. Hopefully they are some still out there. If not, I'll find some perch if CK left any of them to fight another day! :Rofl

I'd love to try catfishing on Clarks Hill/Russell but I'd better lower the bar considerably. I think I'd be happy getting five channels instead of fifty blues!
I agree. You can catch some cats on Russell and Clark Hill but nothing like those numbers. Atleast for me, anyway. You guys have a GREAT pair of lakes over your way for some good action reeling in catfish.;):)Quote:
