Verret Cats

Not crappie but some good eating. Made a trip to Lake Verret this morning with my dad and my lil fishing buddy. Didn’t get started til around 8 but by 11:30 we had 34 catfish and 3 bream. Caught them all in one spot mostly by the outer trees. Got home and took my 5 year old to a local pond since he was too tired to go early. Caught a handful of small bream. First batch just hit the grease. Couldn’t have asked for a better Father’s Day. What launch did y’all use? Also where is that beautiful canal

I love those pictures. I grew up in Morgan City and my dad an I fished Lake Verret sometimes. I haven't been there in 47 years. Looks like y'all had a great day.

I put in at Bayou Corne mainly to run the boat further since I’m still in the break in period but I’ve heard everything is open except for Attakapas. Not sure the name of the main bayou we took. Maybe Grand Bayou.
