My Dad and I left out last Saturday morning and made the 1.5 hour ride down to the Altamaha river in Georgia. We try to make it down there at least once a year to try our hand at the Bream. This year did not disappoint we ended up keeping 92 big bream and probably caught over 150 total. We were using fly rods with crickets. I would have to say it as another great day spent with my Dad.

Great catch, that is some fine eating right there, well worth the drive. My father always took the fly rod with him when we Gill fished, a fun way to tangle and tussle with those critters.

Everyone is all gaga about the dang mullet on the Altamaha this time of year, but that is a far better catch indeed! Wow.
