Backing for 2# Nanofil

What would you guys suggest for a backing, when using 2# line? I have a 150 yard spool of 2# Nanofil, definitely will need some backing.

That’s what I use behind mine Marv. Don’t fill it too close to the rim of the spool or you know what will happen. Also, get in the habit of checking for loops when you cast. There is no getting knots out of that stuff. I love mine but it does have a personality. Holler if I can help.

Thanks guys. :ThumbsUp I've used heavier braid before, during my surf fishing days, so I know what wind knots are. lol I used to fill my spools completely with braid, thus the question on backing.

Some good line that you got excess of

I use a cheap red line 6# and then finish with the 2#. All my backing lines are a different color from main line.
