Good 2 hours crappie 5/30/19
Phil and I had a good morning of crappie fishing. Our intent was to fish. Very early until sunup and then scout new places and that is what we did. We marked 3 spots that a crappie hotel needs to be and I’m obtaining the permits now. Grin.
9 keeper crappie, 3 Lm bass, and 2 Bluegills rounded out our catch along with some short crappie. Phil lost two nice sized crappie at the boat. One was only 6” from the net when it came unplugged. Phil beat the water. Lolol.
Bobby Garland Baby Shads, Slab Slayers, and Itty Bitty plastics were our weapons of choice. Fish early were shallow, and just before we stopped, a few fish were deep.
Water temp creeping up again to 81.9 at Tyner Lane area on Waconda bay. The current was almost nil at 13,500 cfs. Needs more rain so that we can get more flow.
Sorry about the upside down pic. I must be getting careless.
