I have a push button kill switch but the motor still runs with it off changed button(switch) out and it still won’t kill engine. There’s a a black wire and black/yellow strip wire .what move should I make next

Black wire goes to ground and the black/yellow wire goes to the switch boxes. These same wires go to the ignition switch to turn the motor off.
You mentioned that you changed the switch out. There is a universal kill switch on the market that can be wired either "normally open" or "normally closed". There are 4 prongs on the back of the switch. The opposing prongs are a separate circuit. If you have attached the black and black/yellow to each of the two circuits, it will not function correctly. You will need a "normally closed" circuit that completes a circuit with the lanyard off or the button pushed.
