Cave Run Lake 5/28
Went to our home lake last night with good results. The bite was slow starting but finally picked up, found fish in 32 to 50 fow between 12 to 16 feet deep, spider rigging jigs and minnows, water temp 80 degrees and best colors were gold glitter sliders, and bubble gum sliders. We caught 46 keeper crappie all over 9" with some real nice ones 12" to 14" and around 20 white bass to go with them. Great night to spend with my family. God Bless and Thanks for reading.Attachment 344525

Seekbigger, glad to see you chose Cave Run. My wife and I tried Taylorsville again yesterday, it was our worst outing of the year. The wind was unbelievable, I am guessing 20 mph and 30 to 40 mph gust...serious winds with white caps. Made it hard to watch the poles and the fish used it to their advantage to hide from us. We only caught one! We fished 12' to 30' water, 8 to 14' deep. Later in the day we talked to a couples guys that faired better than us, they caught a cooler full 6-8' deep near the bank. And they rubbed it in pretty good! rotfl

Good Job, "bigger" !!
Dayz ... after my trip to Green in those same kind of conditions, I'm holding off until the winds calm down a bit. When the boat moves at 1.5mph only from the wind/waves, that's too windy for any kind of boat or speed control in my rig :biggrin (The Wind Gods have it in for me, as it is ... ... and seem to delight in finding me & playing havoc with whatever method I'm using, no matter where I try to hide from them)

Yeah we actually headed out for Taylorsville yesterday afternoon to night fish but at the bait shop we decided the wind was too tough. We chose local instead.
