Humminbird 587 ci HD

My son just received a Humminbird 587 ci HD fish finder and doesn't have the owner's manual. We can't figure out how to get it off the simulator screen. When we power up the unit it says to press the exit button to exit simulation. e have done that several times and it still stays in simulation mode. Any ideas on how to get off that screen?

I would have thought you could go into menu and settings to disable simulator mode even though the unit is in simulation mode. Hope you get it right because I enjoyed the little 597 I had.

Try this, but you might also try hitting the menus button instead of exit.

Sounds like it's in demo mode. Turn on and go into settings and turn demo mode off. Demo mode is used in store display. It's different from simulation mode you can change sittings in simulation mode but not in demo mode.twocents

To get the unit out of Simulator - press the Menu button during start up ... (when the HB logo appears) ...

Then select "Normal" from the Xpress Menu that pops up ...

(as others have mentioned Demo mode should be shut off under the Setup tab after the unit has fully booted up) ...
