I hope that everyone remembered to thank a Veteran or at least say a prayer for everyone of them past , present and future . People like our good friend Ted " billbob'' and countless other vets gave a lot for our country . There were several in my family and some were disabled or worse .

I watched lots of Memorial Day ceremonies on TV that were going on all across the country in great appreciation and felt a sense of total awe for the sacrifices made by so many. Our family deliberately avoided turning the day into a BBQ day. I always get a bit teary eyed and get the lump in the throat thing happening every time I hear taps and see these most reverent tributes in commemoration. Many news agencies interviewed living veterans from wars gone by... and it was amazing how you could almost feel what they felt as they described the vividness of the horrors of war and how it was for them to see their brothers killed, wounded or dying in front of their eyes.
Indeed the grit of these heroes will live forever in infamy. God Bless each and every one who gave life or limb to make and/or keep us free. Amen
