Did some playing around this morning

Followed a PM sent to me and modified some curl tail grubs I have had for a while now. For some reason I haven't used them in some time. But any way here's what I did with a few...cut the tail off, used a lighter and heated the two larger ends up and pushed them together for about 6 seconds. Wallace, a 1.75"grub that can be wacky rigged, or fished in the conventional way...gonna see if I can catch something with them if the electrical storms will hold off a bit this morning...[emoji1] Attachment 341199

Thanks Bob on the offer, but right at the moment , (after I get this kayak on Wednesday), I wont have no extra cash for about a month. I will let you know though and order some up...Eric, AKA Jamesdean on CDC.

They work wacky rig and regular rigged from the front. In fact, rig the jig from the end first and then wacky rig when you find concentrations of fish. They smack the crappie out of it! (no pun intended). All species no matter how small or large attack it.

They also catch fish like crazy!

Just remember to fish the design slow with pauses, glides and twitches. 1/16 oz and 1/32 oz will do well with what you made as well a using a fluorocarbon leader of 6# test for best lure action.

This is just the beginning of you playing around with plastics - especially on days you can't fish. Do a search on my posts to get more ideas. It's always nice to catch fish on lures NO ONE has fished that you've made. Believe this if nothing else: there are an infinite number of good designs fish attack on a regular basis even under the ice or a float. You imagination can be used to discover many of them.
