Any reports on the crappie fishing at Woods Reservoir this spring? Any tips? I had no luck at Brumalow Creek yesterday morning, and I heard some grumblngs from others about the slow spring. Would love to hear more and learn to fish Woods better.

Those good ole Tenn boys are very tight lipped ! Welcome to the forum maybe I can give you a report I’m hoping to go check it out one day this week! I’d say they are about done with the spawn should be able to find some out a little deeper off the banks!
Welcome to CDC. Woods has always been sporadic or was to me. I used to fish it a lot years ago and caught a lot of crappie over there. Woods is deep in most places but I would try the channel edges nearest any spawning flats you know of. Mitch is right you not going to get much info from those guys that fish it all the time and I don't blame them. I'm getting very selective on who I share things with. Wish I could help more but I haven't fished it in 20 yrs probably.
Thanks, Slabprowler. Share what you can later and good luck!
