Fantastic day!

Had a great day today. Boated 100 fish....5 dozen crappie and 3 dozen bluegill. All the bluegill were at the 8 inch mark with nice girth....a lot of fight. Biggest crappie was 14.75 inches and none under 12. The crappie bite is on fire now. Had a 9 inch redbreast......that's always good...they sure can fight. All fish caught on a Fine tail Banshee Area 6' 7" rod....spooled up with some 2.3# test ester. Used a 1.5 gram Daiwa jig head #6 hook with a Sow Bug coloured Trout Magnet. The bluegill are not on bed in my lakes yet. Maybe next week. Life is good!

Awesome day! I can only think of once I exceeded 100 fish in a day and I was using crickets. Nice work!

Thanks....all this comes from spending a ton of time on the water. There is a video on my channel where I had well over 100 shellcrackers in a day. It was dumb blind luck.....along with help from an si sonar. I found a bed that was huge....several hundred fish on it. I left biting fish...just got tired of catching them.....went back 2 days later.....all gone. These fish are holding on a tree and in the past 2 weeks I have lost count of how many fish I've caught off this tree. Of course I don't keep any of them but I know I'm going to go one time too many and there will be nothing on that tree.

Thanks ET. I don’t think they’re ever going to turn the sluice off so we can get in below Center Hill. Those fish haven’t seen a lure in over 8 months.

Great catch. The weather and fishing is awesome right now. Even if you are having to travel a little bit to get to these fish, I would stay on them while you can. Hopefully that old tree will not wash away or rot and you can whack them good there for years to come.
