I haven't used it much yet, but I am blowing the 3A in-line fuse on my Helix 7 SI about every other time I use it. Any thoughts on the cause and correcting this?

What's the length and size of wire between the unit and the battery?
Wire too small
Wire too small, or too long, will not cause the fuse to blow in a DC circuit. Both of these would cause an under-voltage issue. You probably have an intermittent short-circuit, so check your connections. If possible measure the current drawn by the device when on; maybe the unit is defective and drawing too much current.

I'll have to check on the wire size and length (unless jawjatek is right and that is not the issue), but I know the wire size matches the gauge of wire section provided with the unit.
