Last Bank Fishing Trip of the Season
Our lakes are finally filling up, and with the shrinking shorelines comes the snakes, the mosquitoes, and worst of all the Poison Ivy. I have been elbow deep in grand babies and Barbie Dolls since Thursday, loving every minute of it but sadly they had to go home today after lunch.

So I snuck out for one last bank fishing foray. 3 of the 4 local spots are now unreachable due to floating debris or high waters. I found a little path down to one area of Small Fish creek and luckily I had long pants and sleeves on because the poison ivy was everywhere. Bright Shiny Green- Leaves of 3, Let it Be!! The Bluegill were dimpling the water like crazy, and my first thought was of my Father. He would have loved to been standing there with his fly rod and a small buggy looking bait on the other end. But anyway I managed several small gills on a couple of different baits, all had to be tipped with either a white or Chartreuse goodie.

?The Bison Trout Magnet seemed to work the best, hard to beat the old standby, and the MC Triple Cross wrangled them to the camera with ease. Panfish trips will have to be in the boat now, not a big deal but just not as frequent. Get out there, they are biting!!
