Skirt & Hackle Tail

Here are a couple I tied 4 or 5 years ago, both are 1/4 Oz and I have one ready to tie on next time out and that will be this week.

What size hook do you usually use with 1/4 oz?

I stick with the #4 on 1/8 and 1/4 for the most part, but I did at some point pick up some #2 and even have a few pills heads in 1/8 with #1 Sickles. I just feel for me the larger hook sizes have a longer shank that I want to tie. I kind of like a shorter body that I would have on a #2 and for sure a #1, but if I wanted to catch some bass I would sure think about the larger hooks.
