Fishin' With Crappiekrazy and Jack
The three of us fished about 3 hours Friday nite in Nivens Creek Came home with 10 craooies. Out bright and early Saturday morning and started in Nivens again. This time we had 10 keepers in the first 30 minutes. Things slowed down to a steady pace and we kept longlining off the ends of the docks. We made a wide swing to go by the fish attracter (where we picked up a fish almost every pass) and picked up a few in the middle of the creek. They seemed to be concentrated by a couple of docks and in one area in the middle of the creek.
Fishin' was so good we decided to go somewhere else :) I think Jack might have helped make that decision. We went to Torrence Creek and the bite was about as good but the fish were smaller. The water was muddier than at Nivens.
We decided to finish the day in Nivens and discovered when we got going again that the neighborhood had gone down hill with the perch moving in. We kept a few more and called it a day. Ended up keeping 41 on Saturday and threw back half as many more that we could've kept.
Caught most fish in 8-12 FOW. Starting temp was 53 at daybreak and got up to 60 in the afternoon when the sun came out. It was and awesome trip with old friends.
