Greenwood?
Anyone having any luck this week? Down here with my 4yr old for the week and not having much luck. Seems like that cold snap really messed them up again. Beat the banks with a jig and cork, and pulked jigs for them today and never caught a crappie. Anyone got a tip?

I don't know anyone hat fished there this week but I'm not surprised that the cold nights have slowed it way down. Be sure to fish afternoons with it waming right now. Spots can be completely dead in the morning and light up in the afternoons. Beat those banks from 1:30 to almost dark today. Should be really good just ahead of rain coming in tonight.

Pull jigs in back of creeks.
We caught crappie longlining today in 7 to 12 fow.
Crappie are ready to spawn, seen temps climb to 63 today.

I heard wind was horrible this evening ahead of the weather so it may not have been as good as I had hoped for you. Dad got blown off Hartwell this evening. He was casting for hybrids and bass and it was Ok prior to wind but nothing after.

I said screw it and went to the river with a tank full of herring instead. My son had a blast catching 2-5 lb striper on his “dock demon” rods.

Chip, there is a new ramp below the damn on the Saluda. Not that far down. Looks pretty deep. You may be able to get your boat up it to the stripers. Should be plenty of them below the dam right now. I keep meaning to take my jet drive down there but haven’t yet.

That’s really interesting. I didn’t know they had put that in.

Got out yesterday (Thursday) morning and managed a limit over about 5 hours. Found them in 18-20 fow about 8-12 feet down and then also found them in 8-10 fow. Pulled 1/16ths at .8-1.0 The bite was slow, but if you put it in front of them they were willing to hit. All the females still had eggs but they're getting close.
