Need some quick answers on freezing fish
I cleaned some fish last night and had 40 fillets ready to be frozen. I had some business come up so I put em in some icy water in the fridge and asked the old lady to do it when she got there and told her what to do because She’s never done it. I didn’t think about it until now and looked. Two gallon size bags were used. Not filled completely. Most of it was frozen but there’s a section in middle of each bag that looks like a swimming pool with unfrozen water after about 17 hours. I turned the bags with that section up now but it looks like there’s air in there too.
It’s gonna be hard to put more water in there and/or get the air out. But if it’s possible let me know.
Other than that, aside from being water soaked, are the fish already ruined?
Or do I need to throw them all in the grease by tomorrow?
Or what?
