Well, maybe I'm in a minority, but I hate to see the water dropping at Sardis right now. Down 1 foot since last Saturday. Look for them to spawn deeper! Look for the 15th and later for them to turn on big time. I'm a believer in the Moon Phases! :)

I like them deep spawners ! Used to not mind wading with Mr. no shoulders . Something changed when I hit 60 . lol Most of the time you can get a small boat where they are but this year has been tough . Cranks will be awesome for sure . :HandsClapping
Man I hope you’re right. This will be my third spaw bust in a row if not. First was a broken leg, last year high water, this year high water. I have no clue what to do.

I prefer the high water conditions personally but I hate to see them no shoulders in a tree about 5 feet away in chest deep water!

Fish from the boat and fish that jig just along the bushes and work it out into the loose water away from the bushes, not deep most of the time but maybe a foot to four foot deep, think you will be pleasently surprized.Quote:

Other great thing on high water is you can get out of the wind. Most days I’ve fished the main lake areas have been to windy to even fish. Give me high water every year.
