nonono Now come on JR. These guys pay a lot of money for their Electronics. I don't fish them but if I did I would be rather Swayed to say Heck NO.
I don't have any say in this honestly but That would be like telling a vertical jigger he couldn't use his 10ft rod either.
We fish clear water lakes!! Where site fishing for bedded Bass rules.you can see a white jig in 10 feet of water!! All the Electronics out their live scope, cameras if you can't put the hook in the fish's Mouth you don't win!!
The problem is WHERE DOES IT END WHATS NEXT!!
Cannot use a trolling motor with anchor Lock?!!What's next?

The tournament director can set what ever rules he wants. Not my rules

EHH I could go either way on that. I fish a tournament here and there every once in a while but in my opinion tournament fishing has over grown and thrown up all over itself. Maybe just get rid of tournaments all together so a parent can take their kid out on a Saturday without seeing a traffic jam at the ramp.
I wondered if livescope would change tournaments? I guess I got my answer.

Just fishing with a rod and an artificial bait in a tournament? No electronics? WOW!!!!!!
That's the way it was back when it started. You had to be a fisherman, rely on yourself, have your **** together. Know what you are doing, where they live.
The contest was to see who the best fisherman was. Not who could afford the newest electronics and toys. The Lowrance flasher changed that.
Amazing! It's fine by me. I don't tournament fish any more, too much like work.
I don't fish many tournaments anymore , But that being said that new Live scope is something else . I've been watching videos on them and all the fishermen says its like playing a video game . I don't think they tell the size of fish and they don't make them bite.
No electronics just means more advantage to locals and those who have fished that particular body of water more. You think the heavy hitters at Truman need live scope to stack some weight?.....Please, it's no check cashing folk like me who need live scope at Truman, a place I hardly ever fish. Hey I aint no pro but I fish LOZ a lot and I don't need a set of $2000 electronics to tell me where the crappie stack up on the Gravois but someone with less experience might. Sure it helps...some days I find things on my graph that I would completely miss but experience is by and large the biggest benefit to catching fish. If I didn't know Truman very well there is no way I would fish that format.
You bet, This rule is made by a local for the locals!
