If I connect 2 Humminbird core units together without a network box and 1 has the transducer and gps hooked to it and the other has nothing but the pwr cable and network cable, what all will I be able to see on this unit?

Main unit is a 1198 and the secondary unit is a 898. Will they share gps data without having everything going to a network box?
A network box is only needed if you have more than 2 network devices....with just those 2 you wll be fine.

The core units wont share maps, but will share waypoints. You will need 2 map cards for mapping. You will be able to see all the technology from one to the other. You will need to select on the 2nd unit that you want all the data to come from the first unit with the transducer connected to it.
Be sure and turn sonar off on unit without transducer attached.
