Wylie 3/16/2019...withers cove

Took my next door neighbor along pulling jigs in withers cove where I have had great success this year. We fished 2 pm til dark and Things were different I just could not find quality fish in numbers ... threw back a lot of fish. Ended up keeping 10 or so good crappie .. 10 perch. Wildest thing was this catfish on my long rod. For reference the guy in picture is 7' tall...we had a great time as neighbors and that's all that matters! Wish I had more pics Attachment 335007

That's a short guy, don't be story telling! LOL Had a good fight I bet. You like Withers cove. I haven't been in there that I can recall. But my recaller isn't young any more either! Thanks for the report. Is the water getting better quality up that way? :cheers2

I like withers cause the ole boat don't have to run far from south point landing haha ... the water clarity completely normal minimal trash 56 degrees ... I've really grown fond of Mill Creek and I am looking forward to trying Catawba creek very soon also ...
