I have been tying jigs for a while now and looking for some suggestions on what foam to use to keep the jigs in place in the case. I have styrofoam but find it messy to cut. I also use polyethylene (i believe that's what it is) foam but wonder if there is something better out there. Any suggestions, recommendations or advice on what to use and where to buy it will be appreciated.
I'm not sure what type of foam this is. It came in the box a printer at work arrived in. I cut it up and it worked wonderfully. It does not make a mess like Styrofoam. I think it is polyethylene. If there is something better I would be interested in knowing myself.

some came on a roll for tool box's

By far the best boxes are silicone foam. Low memory drys quickly and does not absorb water. Also it last a long,long time. Some claim a lifetime. All other foam will need replaced on a regular basics. The more you use-remove your hook the quicker they wear out. This will cause jigs to be loose and even fall out of box when open. It also tears fairly easy. Also most other foam deteriorate over time. Depends if you want cheap or good!
The sheet stuff I used is the same materials they use for flitting and it pretty good stuff. Do not know what it's made from. I even have some small sheets that have their own stickum and even some round stuff to tie for dry flies.
