Tough day Sunday, 10 Mar on Guntersville

Well, don't know about everyone else or if it's just me, but been working on the boat and getting a few things straight the last couple weeks and could not stand it any longer. Took the boat and headed to the Big G to try some long lining. The rain had turned the creek I was in, into a chocolate milk mess. Fish were there, just not biting. Managed a couple nice ones but nothing crazy, didn't feel like cleaning fish so they road around with me for awhile and got turned loose for another day. Water is still about 6-8" high in that area. Water temps were 51.3 to 54.7 in the different creeks I was in. Once it warms up a little more, it'll be on.

Same story on Wheeler I saw 60 Sunday. No baitfish no fish.

Hang in there Bob. When the water clears and stabilizes you will get them. If you were where I think you were I was in there two weeks ago and same story. Mud hole! Went on down to South Sauty and worked on those deep fish a little. Did you notice any grass coming up? there was very little two weeks ago.

Same song, 3rd or 4th verse. I went Sunday afternoon and the creek I was in was nasty. The water was muddy and the surface was covered in that dang eel grass. I marked a lot of fish deep in the creek channels but no takers.

I rode up shallow before I left just to see what the grass was doing and it was spotty and about a foot tall. This muddy water has sure knocked it back which suits me fine. Maybe it’ll take it longer to mat up

It's funny how that works. Sunday was a great day for me but today was a bad bad day and cowboy smoked them, so go figure. Different lakes different styles just goes to show you some one is always catching them. Anyway glad you got to go and test the boat out.
