20 years ago I had a great day of White Bass fishing on Bear Creek. The water was as clear as any Ozark stream. It most have been right before or after Turkey Season because I don't recall having a gun with me and it was warm.
They tell me that the White Bass runs in streams at Truman are unreliable. Some years they will run up a stream and some years not so much.
What is your experience and or advise?
Might contact one of the guides out of bucksaw marina and ask.
I'm thinking about a guide but had focused on Stockton when researching guides. I really hate driving and motel rooms and Truman is closer. So I will check the guides at Truman out.Quote:

The only thing the guides know how to do is catch hybrids on the lower end of the lake.
If you want to catch spawning White bass then head way on up the Sac.
I made a few trips to the Sac above Stockton years ago but access was across private land. I think a guide for that would be nice, one that has local connections.Quote:

Not fished for them here in MO. But in Arkansas any good creek is a really good spot to start. Good luck.
