I find it takes too much time to change color and weight sizes on the boat.
So I'm trying this snap on a few rods.
(Only for longlining)
Opinions?

My uncle that lives in Tennessee that's only way he long lines is with snap swivels works good for him
No problem here with snaps, use them for all my fishing.
Wouldn't it work better with a swivel inline to prevent twisted line? How about the quick snaps they use for bass fishing to swap lures faster? :scratchhead I see no problem as long as it's the smallest snap swivel. :cheers2
if going that route I would try these first !!!!
Cabela's Online Store - Quality Hunting, Fishing, Camping and Outdoor Gear
That's the ones I was thinking if they fit the eye of the hook good!:cheers2
Between the gar and stripers (which I try to break off before either species wrecks my entire trolling setup) and the bushes I hang I break off WAAAAAAY too much to be buying swivels. I do like those instant snaps though, but as said, I wont use 'em.
I would not put the fast snap on all my rods !!!! I would put the fast snap on just 2 rods that way you can swap 2 baits one each side of your spreads and find out which color the fish want !!!
I can tie a loop knot as fast as I could open and close the snap swivel...lol
