Just now getting into pole fishing for these beasts. Trolling through flooded timber. Looks sort of like crappie on my electronics, but never could get anything to bite. Thoughts?

I would suspect them to be crappie too.
My guess is crappie as well.
Pretty sure they are crappie. Don't see any other fish line up vertically like that.

Agreed, finding them is only 10% of the equation. Getting them to bite, that’s the trick.
