I have a driftmast t-bar I put up front and then I have some driftmater and wal-mart holders down the side. I have 16 total. Me and StumpHanger have been experimenting at work and have been able to duplicate them both. We are working on some re-designs which make them easier to lift the rod out and more adjustment to them. Once we get it right and get the jigs perfected for bending the metal we will be able to turn them out pretty quick.

the probablem i have with them is the tilt ajustment . i like my pole tip to be close to the water when the wend is blowing

Thats what we used when I lived in Fla..We used 4 and 6 inch pipe to make ours..For the price of PVC,ya cant beet it..
Made My T-bars Out Of Half Inch Galvanized Pipe.four Screw Flange On Bottom, six Inch Nipple Height, tee, four Inch Nipples On Each Side With A Cap.drill Holes Completely Thru Pipe Bolt On Two Driftmasters On Each Side, tighten Nipples Tight .then You Can Twist Nipple Where It Adjusts To Set Pole Heightpretty Easy Without It Coming Too Loose.also Can Twist Rod Holders Too To Spread Out Rod Tips.galvanized Also Doesnt Rust Too Badexcept At Threads.painted Them.any One Interested In Drawing Pm Me.easy To Do Works Great.only One Mount Per 4 Rods Less Screw Holes.
Thanks Manta. I am trying to design a new system for my new boat that will be more functional and still be user friendly. I'll post pics when I get it finished.
papasage, I think if you used 8" or 10" pipe, you would like those better. Me &
Harold made some several years ago to use trolling but neither one of us knew how to do it. I had gone with another guy on a pontoon boat that had the pvc setup & we caught a lot of big crappie using different colored hal-fly jigs. I tried to show Harold & all I did was get everything hung up. So we abandoned that idea.
And still today I still don't know how to do it, but with the help of my new
crappie.com family, I'm sure I will learn alot of new techniques. I will show you
our rod holders when we get to Blackshear this time.
this is what i am using now a frind of mine made some of the smaller one so i am going to try some on my pontoon .
