Got on the north end of the lake this morning at daylight. My son, my cousin and me ended up with a mixed bag of 65 total fish caught. I only cleaned 13 as we were letting the big ones go. We caught a 5 ft gator gar also. My 9 year old thought it was the coolest thing ever. We spent most of the morning hunting big fish and then just went for numbers later on. These were the 2 biggest, caught at the same time.

Nice catch. We tried pulling some jigs on the south end but struck out. Ended up single poling up a creek and caught several nice spots and a fine mess of skip jack. The skip jack are now cut up, laid on trays in the freezer and will be bagged and tagged for summer catfish bait tomorrow.
Good day fishing ! We caught 18 good fish no measure needed biggest almost 2# well over a hundred yellow bellies 2 gar and a ditch pickle or two!

Nice job guys, I got on a few today myself. Unfortunately we got some cold coming tomorrow. Every time I find some big fish it gets cold the next day.

Congrats on the fish. Father in law and I got 42 surface temp was 59 at the end of the day. They really got aggressive last 2 hrs. Caught 1 female that was dropping eggs. Yes I know it’s still early but it is beginning. To bad the cold weather is coming y’all stay safe
