Foam Pipe insulation zipp tied on each end ! About a 6-8” piece. Way cheaper!

Put it around rod right in front of grip. Use a couple of wire ties, then wrap real tight with electrical tape.
use duck tape and put different colors so your partner sees a bite that way he can tell you what color.
I wish I would have it on a few nice crappie rods that I lost. I need to do it for my good rods, it sure hurts watching them sink. LOL.

I lost rods when I was using walmart "iftmaster" rod holders. Then I changed holders to ones where the reels sits inside the holders and havent lost another rod since. That change was worth the money spent IMO.;)
