Note to self
Dump the rain guage. It was over full from all the rain we had last week, with another round coming this week. Talk about getting cabin fever. Last week I smoked a brisket and ate off of it for 3 meals and froze the rest, Friday made Shrimp Stew and ate off of that for 2 days and froze the rest. I have more leftovers in the freezer I dont have room for fish but I did find a big bag of froglegs.I guess I'll have to make a Courtbouillion. Note to self go to wallmart and get more tupperware.

Man, you cook some good stuff....for us, it's hard to cook for 2 people...we are always freezing leftovers....forget walmart, go to Dollar Tree for some Rubbermaid containers....very cheap and good quality....we fell in love with that store....specially the cookies.....I understand about the rain....it's aggravating to be retired and able to fish any day of the week and rain or wind keeps you home....there are several types of dollar stores out there so be sure to go to the one called "DOLLAR TREE"....you will be glad you did....

Bruce, I need to check that out. There are two stores in Houma and I never went to one. So you're tired of the rain too, huh.

Mr. Bruce I'll have to check out Dollar Tree. I know what you mean about cooking for 1 and I try not to waste, but putting it in the freezer is out of sight out of mind. I hate eating the same thing over and over so I try to get creative.

Thanks for asking Larry, I got his hair cut this week and now he looks like a black dog with white spots. The girl left his mane and a little puff on his tale so he would look fierce, all 27 lbs of him. I cant keep him clean with all this high water, his belly is to close to the ground or he keeps digging for the field mice. I didn't realize how many mice Mr Cat would eat but he passed away last year, 14 years for a wild tom cat that's pretty good for a cat in the woods.
