River is coming down, but I just looked and they only have one gate open. They will let Deep River get back down to normal and then open the gates to bring Jordan down. They can let Jordan down almost a foot a day, but will not do it until Deep River is down.
Here is a map I found online. My understanding is that the total acreage in the Jordan basin is twice the acreage of that in the Falls Lake basin, but I could not find the numbers. As you can see, Jordan has four fairly good-sized urban areas in the watershed, so lots of run-off from those urban areas along with a big rural area as well.

Jordan has a tremendous size watershed.Once the.rivers crest,and Cape Fear is falling it will come down pretty good,ft.per day or.so.With no more rain.More rain is the variableQuote:

It's pretty high, muddy and a lot of debris. Went out yesterday and Seaforth boat docks are way up. You'll have to give it several days before it's close to fishable. Gotta watch the floating trees and so forth when zooming around.

My guess of March 23rd. may have been too optimistic
I know I don't live up there anymore but my guess is when the crappie go to the banks (in the trees) they will drop the water levels. Probably new moon in April?Quote:
