Crappie ponds around Tulsa

My boat wont be ready to hit the water for a while. In the mean time I'm looking for ponds in the Tulsa/ Broken Arrow area that has crappie in it to start practicing and hopefully catch a few.

I've heard the pond called MS6 in tulsa has crappie in it and one in Broken Arrow in Nienhuis Park. But never caught any or seen anyone catch any there so not sure if its true or not.

MS6 was at one time absolutely full of little 4 inch stunted crappie. I used to catch them for flathead bait on a small little white twister tail grub. Human body parts were found in the pond a few years ago and the pond was drained and a sunken car was removed. I have not been back since the pond was refilled. At least some of the fish were removed when the pond was drained and placed in the pond just south across 11th street from MS6.

There is bank access at Bluff Landing on the Navigation Channel at the end of 71st street. Easy access and a good place to soak a few minnows.

Oh wow I never knew that about MS6. I have fished the pond south of there you are talking about. It's called Metcalf Pond. I was fishing for bass then. I may have to try it out for crappie.

I've been to Bluff Landing as well and caught catfish. It wasnt until like 2 weeks ago I got actual crappie lures so I need to try it again with some jigs and tip them with nibbles.

Do you have any advice for bluff landing? Its the closest most accessible non pond to me and still have yet to catch a crappie in my life so any advice is deeply appreciated

Ever fish the pond at Bass Pro in Broken Arrow? I would think it would be pretty decent for a stoked pond.

I live a mile from there and never have. Seen pics of people catching bass there. Asked an employee and he said it was stocked with perch, I'm guessing he means bluegill, and channel cats
