I’m a bit confused after some research. Are there multiple campgrounds at the spillway? I’m seeing Sardis lake campground and JW Kyle state park? What’s the difference? Planning a camping trip with the wife and kids March 11-15. We will be tent camping. Which would y’all recommend?

2 side by side. State park camp ground and Corp of engineers. If tent camping I’d go to state park. Whole area set up for it. More secluded from other campers, cleaner bath rooms and stuff for the wife and kids. Plus that is side boat amp is on for lower lake.
Watch those low spots. Drainage issues in many spots.
Patts Bluff campground opened up a few years ago. I’ve camped there before.
