Took my Uncle out in his boat for about an hour this afternoon to show him how to use his new Garmin 63cv. We ended up at the back of a dead end canal off of Bayou Chene Blanc. Started off fishing deeper tree tops that I've been catching them on but nobody home. We started throwing Purple Passion Baby Shad 2 feet under corks in front of the cypress trees. Ended up with six fish between 10 and 12 inches. It's that time down south. Water temp was 68 in the back of that canal. I'm sure they'll be in full blown spawn mode after the full moon on the 19th. Let's just hope we don't get too much rain this week.
Sorry we didn't get any pictures. We gave them to a guy and his son on the way back to the launch.
