Going in blind??

I have a small john boat I Usually fish Lake manatee. I would like to spread my wings a little so I m thinking about trying lake Rosalie this weekend. Ive never been before but it is one of the smaller lakes so I figured it may be easier to find some fish. What would be the best plan troll for a while in the deeper parts of the lake to mark fish then come back and work anything I mark? Or just make some blind drifts and do the same mark and go back? Just hope other boats are out and do what they do?? Any help is appreciated.

If there are other boats out, try to learn from them to shorten your learning curve. Trolling and covering water is also good, marking electronics if you have them and paying attention to depths of water when you see some and how deep the fish mark in relation to the bottom. I used to drift when there was wind and have a few rods over the side as i did and fan cast a jig also. Found some nice fish that way. Good luck to you, hope you find enough to get you interested.

I prefer drifting mostly cause I can comfortably fish more lines out the side, but it is very dependent on the wind being just right as far as speed goes. And I have the garmin clear view so I have the electronics I need. I love the contour mapping feature. I've only had it out a couple times so I have a lot to learn with it yet.
Does anyone know if their is a bait shop or should I get bait at camp mack?
