Crappie Milk Balls

This is an easy way to make crappie homes. Just push pvc pipe through old milk crates, & put a screw in if they are loose. Tie a weight & sink!

I've been thinking along those same lines. I use cedar stakes in place of PVC and buckets in the place of milk crate. Then fill bucket with rocks. I've got a lead on some plastic trays and will try them if it works out. The holes will need to be enlarged. Thanks for sharing ideas.:D

The plastic milk crates are a neat idea! My only concern would be if a jig would hang up in the milk crate. Sure makes some nice looking condos though!

These are pretty neat. How do you anchor them?

It don't take much, a cinderblock will sink 3 or more. I tied 1/2 blocks on some & I tied 3 together & used 1 block on some.

You just gave me a new way to make my habitats.......that is one excellent looking structure !

Now I know what to do w/ all my PVC.
