Yeah actually snagging them in hopes of hooking up with them by chance. Lose a lot of crappie thru the gates in cold weather during the winter months. This time of year on the lakes I fish the 4 flood lakes in north MS from December 1st thru the last day of February no more than two single hooks (at least 12 inches apart) and no larger then #2 hooks are allowed to snag with, no bare treble hooks. You may want to check your local lake regulations they may differ. I've done it a time or two, two 1/8 jigs tied about 16 to 18 inches apart and try to jerk them thru the water in slack water areas/ eddy's. Some cast and retrieve some walk along the rocks and pull along with longer rods. You can catch a few when the timings just right, just ain't crazy about walking along all those rocks myself.. lol
