ok, I'm addicted to walleye fishing even more so than crappie fishing. From May to Aug. you will see lots of posts of Stockton walleyes from me. I have caught walleye at Pomme but always by accident when fishing for crappie with jigs. I have not tried to catch them at Pomme on purpose but I'm pretty sure I could using the same techniques as I use at Stockton. Live bait wise, I mainly use bottom bouncers or lindy rigs with 1/2 of crawler in 20-30 fow. A good fishfinder with a contour map is very important so you can keep your bait in the zone once you find them. When they are shallower I prefer to throw a jig or roadrunner (both homemade) with either a curly tail or paddletail tipped with a bit of crawler or minnow. Jerkbaits work as well. Lots of folks catch them trolling and that is something I need to get better at, I just haven't gotten into to because I prefer to feel the bite with a jig or lindy rig. Coming up here shortly they will be on the dam at Stockton. This is a fun bite, fish right before and right after dark throwing jerkbaits. I hear they run up below the dam at Pomme but have not tried it. If you are interested in going with me sometime just shoot me a PM, I will let you know when there is a good bite on.
I have only ever caught one while crappie fishing on Pomme.
Early spring and early-mid summer are the easiest times to catch them. Otherwise, once the thermocline breaks up, they pretty much go wherever they please, and there isn't a big enough population of them to be caught reliably.
Martin flats is a good trolling spot in the summer. Straight across from Pittsburg ramp.

Try trolling flicker shads. That is what we use in rivers here and in Canadian lakes. Those things catch anything. Crappie, bass, drum and catfish.
use to use jigs with a leach on a slip bobber for them in Minnesota. Would love to learn to catch them here though as well.

From my experience, trolling begins to heat up once the water gets around 70*, starts to lull toward August (dependent on rainfall and water temp), picks up again in the fall, once again falling off below 70* in October.
4 works good for perch in Canada.
I'm looking into the flickers. The spring classic kicks off on the 15th of February typically I believe. I'm going to stock up on the flickers, bottom bouncers, Lindy rigs and some jerk baits.
