Impromptu gathering of the gewbers at the Roe!

Morning was cold, but at least there was no ice on the water!

Found Flycaster right past the bridge. We asked him if this is where we should start, and he said, yep.

We smacked them pretty quick. Thought it was gonna be a killer day.

Caught some real nice fish. This is a 14 incher.

Then we spotted fellow gewber Speckanator.

And back at shore for the weigh-in we found the Detector.

Speckanators big'un was 1lb 1oz
Speck Detector's biggest was 1lb 6.3 oz
Billbob caught a 1 lb 4.8 oz
Flycasters biggie was 15 oz

And we sat for a fine food lunch. We splurged on bag lunch. Dang why does a simple ham and cheese sammich taste so good after a long morn fishing.

Good times. Makes me wish I was in Florida....and retired.....and fishing.....and had some of that lunch.....lol.

I think you been hitting more than the slab sauce! I saw most of y’all from the I-4 exit near the bridges. Saw Slab and Bliibob with Detector not far behind at 11:45. Y’all must have been headed for the lunch date. Glad y’all had a good morning and wish I could have joined in on that lunch. Maybe next time.

We were out on the river just north of you,bite completely died at about 10 we boated 12 jigging with a few nice ones but the size is down.
