Shelbyville this weekend
Im considering trying Shelbyville with my 9 yr old son this weekend. Looks like you guys are still catching them. I havent fished the lake in 20 years so I would need to do a lot of scouting. Are the fish in tight pockets that may make it tough for an out of towner to find them? 3.5 hour drive for us. Was thinking of starting in Wolf Creek. Any suggestions?

Been doing well within half mile each side of the RR bridge at wilborn and also from Findlay bridge down to wolf creek. Have not fished past there yet. Targeting 8-15 fow with Brush, stumps, or laydowns. Honestly sidescan is a huge player right now and moving around till you see the fish bunched up. Lots of colors tubes are working im sure. Water is clear for the lake so Iv been using a orange, white, or chartreuse head with a clear tube with blue speckles in it or white and chartreuse or straight chartreuse. Just saw where they started dropping the lake today to winter pool. That will have a negative impact on the shallower fish but will pull them to the drops. Good luck

Ended up hooking up with Brian Cleland on Saturday. I had no idea he was crappie24 until I saw my pic on his post...haha. You can read the fishing report on his post. It was cold, but we caught a lot of fish. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a guided trip. We fished by ourselves on Sunday and caught a few, but not nearly as many as we did with Brian. It was a good trip, and another effort to get my son off of video games...lol
